نشرت شركة "IHS iSuppli"، المتخصصة في تقييم وتتبع آخر مستجدات صناعة الإلكترونيات، تقريرا يشير إلى تفوق شركة الإلكترونيات الكورية سامسونغ على نظيرتيها الفنلندية نوكيا والأميركية أبل. وتوقع التقرير أن تسجل شحنات سامسونغ من الهواتف المحمولة حول العالم ما نسبته 29% من السوق للعام 2012 متجاوزةً نظيرتها نوكيا التي كانت مسيطرةً على سوق الهواتف المحمولة لأكثر من 14 عاما، إذ سجلت الأخيرة ما نسبته 24% من السوق في انخفاض من 30% العام الماضي. واحتلت شركة أبل الأميركية المركز الثالث بنسبة 10%، ثم تلتها الشركة الصينية "زد تي أي" (ZTE) بنسبة 6%، وكان المركز الخامس من نصيب الشركة الكورية أل جي التي شحنت ما نسبته 4% من سوق الهواتف المحمولة. وأرجعت شركة "IHS iSuppli" السبب وراء نجاح سامسونغ إلى قدرة الشركة على مراعاة حاجات شرائح واسعة من المستهلكين عن طريق تقديمها تشكيلة واسعة من الهواتف. وأوضحت الشركة أن سامسونغ تنتج كل عام عشرات النماذج من الهواتف الذكية تستهدف من خلالها كافة أقسام سوق الهواتف المحمولة، من أجهزة الرفاهية إلى أجهزة ذوي الدخل المحدود، مع قدرتها على دراسة السوق ثم إنتاج الأجهزة بكل سرعة وكفاءة. وقالت "IHS iSuppli" إن الشركة الكورية تفخر بصناعتها لأفضل الهواتف الذكية، التي ساهمت في ارتفاع نسبة شحناتها من 20 إلى 28% في السوق، متفوقة على نظيرتها نوكيا التي انخفضت نسبتها من 16 إلى 5% لتجعلها في المركز الثالث بعد أبل الأميركية، وقبل أتش تي سي التايوانية وريم (RIM) الكندية.
